Bold was a 2015 addition to the core range. This is made entirely with Indian barley smoked using Islay peat to around 25ppm.

Bold is a voyage that takes you into Goa’s undiscovered and uncharted territory. By gradually revealing its best-kept secrets to you, it gradually solves the puzzles. This statement of ours asks you to veer off the beaten path, explore the less traveled route, and dive straight into the mouthwatering depths of Goa.

Nose: The faintest hint of smoke gives way to a bewildering mix of Manuka honey, prickly spice, and bourboneque crimson liquorice.

Palate: The deepest flavors come surging in like waves from this melt-in-your-mouth malt. The delivery is quite smooth at first, with honey that tastes like oak flakes. And just when you believe you’ve fully enjoyed it, a robust second wave of spice catches you off guard. A foggy, smokey sensation that covers the roof of the mouth and leaves a tidal wave of dry molasses, peaty soot, and some copper behind is felt next.

Finish: Bold has a subtle finish with a hint of copper that gradually becomes apparent. A stunning smoky mocha molded by complex and delicate spices is also detectable.
