When Christoph Niemann visited Maison Martell in Cognac, and experienced a blending and tasting session with Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud, he was amazed by the complex savoir-faire involved in making cognac. In particular, he was fascinated by the fact that every glass of Martell Cordon Bleu contains more than 100 different eaux-de-vie, each of which is crucial to recreating its legendary taste. Instantly recognisable for its richness, elegance and finesse, emblematic of the Martell style, Martell Cordon Bleu has remained unchanged for more than a century. The story behind the creation of this iconic blend provided the inspiration for the new limited edition: Martell Cordon Bleu “100 eaux-de-vie in every drop”.
