FROM THE LAND OF THE GREAT HIMALAYAS
An account of two varieties of barley—a blend of East and West—one cultivated in the Punjab in the foothills of the Himalayas and malted in Delhi, and the other farmed and peated in Scotland. 50% abv in bottles.
ABV: 50%
Colour: Golden Yellow
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Complex and heavily oak-aged, with a hint of barley sugar and a gentle smoke. Large, yet incredibly soft.
Taste: The delivery, while controlled at first, is huge; a delicate note of custard trifle enhances the warming, full-blown peat. Along with a powerful chocolate fudge that really hits home on the mouth, an oaky vanilla drives home that barley.
Finish: The malt finishes with a delightful mouth filling sweetness. After this, the spices rise to their feet and usher this exceptional whisky to its last curtain call, instead of lying down and accepting their fate.
