1. Zombie Smash
One of the great Halloween drinks, a quick zombie smash sets the (eye)ball rolling on Halloween!
Ingredients
- Tanqueray No. Ten gin, Grey Goose vodka & Bacardi Carta Negra Black rum : 0.5 oz each
- Bols Triple Sec : 0.5 oz
- Simple syrup : 1 oz
- Lemon juice : 1 oz
- Strawberries : 2
Hocus-Pocus
Take a mixing glass. Muddle the strawberries with simple syrup and lemon juice in it.
Rest of the ingredients go in with some ice.
A vigorous shake followed by pouring it all in a tall glass. Oh and don’t forget to garnish with strawberry.
It’s that simple. Talk about easy Halloween cocktails, eh!
2. Black Forest Possession
Oat milk, honey & Monkey combo on a Halloween? This Halloween alcoholic drink one will possess you & your amighosts!
Ingredients
- Monkey 47 Gin : 2 oz
- Honey syrup (honey & water ratio 1:1) : 0.75 oz
- Oat milk : 1 oz
- Blackberries : 3
Hocus-Pocus
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries.
Add Monkey 47 Gin, oat milk & finally the honey syrup.
Fill the shaker with ice up to the brim. 7 to 10 seconds of vigorous shaking should do.
Then, take a coupe glass and fine strain the shaker’s contents into it.
A skewered blackberry & expressed lemon oil for garnishing would be awesome to complete this delicious Halloween cocktail.
3. After Hours
Quite often there are rules about enjoying ‘After Hours’ … but it is Halloween so … things can’t go horrific, right?
Ingredients
- The Botanist Islay Dry Gin : 1.5 oz
- Lemon juice : 0.75 oz
- Chai (tea) syrup : 0.5 oz
- Chocolate bitters : 4 dashes
Hocus-Pocus
Chai syrup: Boil a cup each of sugar and water in a sauce pan. When it is boiling, turn off the heat & add 3 tea bags. Allow it to steep for around 10 minutes. Take out & discard the tea bags & let the syrup cool.
Conjure the cocktail: Just throw in all the ingredients in a shaker along with ice & shake vigorously. Fine strain the content into a coupe glass & you are done. As fast as a ninja slashing things around on Halloween!
4. The Afterlife
Some believe in ‘The Afterlife’, some don’t. Although, the latter have no idea what they’re missing, as is evident ahead in this Halloween cocktail.
Ingredients
- Patron Silver tequila: 1.5 oz
- Ginger ale or Ginger beer : 3 oz
- Lime juice : 0.5 oz
- Splash of creme de cassis
Hocus-Pocus
You’d need a highball glass, rimmed with salt. Just add all the ingredients in it one by one, add ice as per need & give it an artistic touch by garnishing with a lime wedge. See? Easy peasy!
5. El Diablo
Diabolical stuff is normal on a spooky day like the Halloween. Some drinks are diabolical too … like the one ahead.
Ingredients
- 1800 Silver tequila : 2 oz
- Lime juice : 0.75 oz
- Bols Triple sec : 0.5 oz
- Ginger Beer : 2 oz
- Simple syrup (or agave nectar) : 0.75 oz
- Creme de cassis : 0.5 oz
Hocus-Pocus
Barring ginger beer & creme de cassis, shake the ingredients in a cocktail shaker for around 10 seconds.
Strain the contents over ice. Now top it with ginger beer & stir for a while. Finally, pour crème de cassis to top it. Diabolically quick it is, we reckon.
6. Skeleton Key
This one is really bold for a lot of cocktail-philic, Halloween-friendly souls around. The rustic looking straw is the ‘Key’ here!
Ingredients
- Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey : 1.25 oz
- Ginger beer : 3 to 5 oz
- Elderflower liqueur : 0.75 oz
- Fresh lemon juice : 0.5 oz
- Bitters : 8 dashes
Hocus-Pocus
Take a highball and Collins glass filled with ice. Build the bourbon, lemon juice and liqueur in it.
Top it all with the ginger beer, finishing with the bitters. Spooktacular whisky cocktail is ready!
Use a straw, although to get full flavor of the bitters, you must sip it without a straw.
7. Halloween Sangria
Candies are for kids. Here is a ‘bloody’ Sangria for your amigos.
Ingredients
- Castelforte Amarone 2016 Italy Red wine
- Brandy
- Ginger ale
- Frozen red and green grapes : 2 to 3 per glass
- Citrus : combo of fresh orange, lemon & lime slices
- Cinnamon sticks
- Colored sugar
Hocus-Pocus
In a pitcher, stir together the slices of lemon, lime & orange with the cinnamon stick & brandy.
Next, slowly pour the red wine & then chill the cocktail. Just before serving, pour ginger ale in the pitcher & stir.
Now, take out the bulbous glasses. Rim them with colored sugar, in go the frozen grapes & few orange slices. Pour the blood-red Sangria and relish it along with your ghastly-looking buddies.

8. Vampire Killer Martini
Hanging out with vampires this Halloween? Well, here is one of the top Halloween cocktails especially suited for that, & for serving 8 of your vampire folks at a time!
Ingredients
- Grey Goose Vodka : 1.5 cup
- Garlic cloves : 2 (crushed)
- 2 inches of lemon zest strip : 1
- Serrano pepper (seeded & quartered) : 1
- Pickled baby beets (for garnishing)
Hocus-Pocus
Place the vodka, lemon zest strip, garlic & serrano pepper in a big glass or plastic bowl. Cover it and let it stand at room temperature for a week.
On the Halloween night, for each serving, fill 3/4th of the cocktail shaker with ice & pour in 1.5 oz of the infused vodka.
Shake vigorously for up to 15 seconds or till vapor condenses outside on the shaker’s wall.
Strain the shaker’s contents in a chilled martini glass & put in the pickled beet for garnish. You’re done & set for a chilled vampire chit chat!
